AI Disclosure
Last updated: June 24, 2026. Provided in the spirit of California SB 243, the FTC's guidance on AI companion products, and the EU AI Act transparency rules.
You are talking to an AI
The CluckCoach "coach" — including the chicken persona and the Voice Coach — is an artificial-intelligence system, not a human, and not a doctor, dietitian, therapist, or licensed trainer. We display a clear AI notice in the chat, and for teen accounts we repeat that reminder periodically during longer sessions.
What the AI does — and doesn't do
Your plan's workouts and calorie/protein figures are produced by our deterministic rule engines, not invented by the AI. The AI's job is to explain, motivate, and personalize around that plan. It does not author loads, weights, sets, reps, calories, or new exercises on its own, and it cannot override safety blocks, readiness limits, or youth caps. AI can still be wrong — use your judgment, and never train through pain because an app said so.
Safety guardrails
The coach is built to recognize signals of crisis, self-harm, and disordered eating and to stop coaching and surface real help (such as the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline and the NEDA Helpline) rather than continue the conversation. It will not recommend extreme caloric restriction, purging, rapid weight loss, fasting, or compensatory exercise, and these protections are strongest for teens and for users who screen positive on our wellness check.
Your data & the AI
Coach responses are generated using third-party AI model providers; your messages are processed to produce replies as described in our Privacy Policy. You can view and delete the coach's memory and individual remembered facts in Settings. We do not use minors' data to train or fine-tune AI models.
Not professional advice
AI coaching is general information and motivation, not medical, nutritional, psychological, or training advice tailored to your clinical situation. See the Medical & Fitness Disclaimer.
